Nature Fresh Farms is one of Leamington's newest greenhouse ranges.
It has
attracted considerable attention for its emphasis
on innovation.
Nature Fresh Farms Inc. is an 18 acre pepper operation. The first crop was
planted Nov/2000 and harvest began in mid February 2001.
Cees Vandenenden is the grower, with extensive experience in Europe and
North America.
1) What were the main reasons for choosing Priva?
The main reason for choosing Priva was their reputable, established name.
2) What were the main reasons for choosing JW?
The main reason for choosing JW Electric is their familiarity
with the local
industry.
3) Can you give any examples of the benefits of the system?
One of those would be the Privassist, in which employees register at conveniently located terminals before and after each task. It allows us to know the exact costs for
each phase of production. This feedback is accurate and provided daily.
4) How did the implementation process work from your standpoint -- (labour, time, ease of continuing your operation)?
We chose to have JW do both the electrical and the computer
installation and this is what we would recommend to others.
Having JW do both helped in the implementation process because
there was less co-ordination needed (ie. one company
waiting for another company to get their job done, discuss changes with
etc).
